Wireless Logic

Wireless Logic is regarded as the leading machine-to-machine (M2M) provider in the UK and has delivered mobile-data solutions to more than 2,000 customers.

Using the power and coverage of Vodafone, O2 and hundreds of other global networks, the company is pushing the boundaries of M2M communication and helping organisations to develop and manage wireless applications and deliver data seamlessly, reliably and cost effectively. Wireless Logic achieves this by overlaying private secure communication solutions on to the global network infrastructure without the need for clients to make a major investment in complex IT architecture, connectivity or having in-house specialist technical engineers.

Recent project

Wireless Logic is a very successful and growing company specialising in M2M communication. In order to provide a quality service to customers, the company’s infrastructure needs to be as reliable and robust as possible. With a rapid increase in the number of users, from 10,000 to more than 200,000 in just two years, Wireless Logic urgently needed to make sure its infrastructure could support this growth and provide high availability.

Wireless Logic called in Adapto to manage and implement a critical project that would make sure its infrastructure had the capacity to support the current users, as well accommodate growth. Adapto recommended virtualization as the best solution.
In the space of four weeks, Adapto introduced virtualization and reduced the number of servers from eight to two which had the combined benefits of stabilising the network but also making it extremely robust and able to cope with future growth. Now the new system is in place, Adapto staff monitor the system for Wireless Logic and alert the in-house IT team to anything unusual.

Wireless Logic has a customer base of 1,500 which includes Insys Microelectronics, Croydon Council, First Great Western, Masternaut and Mobile Traffic Solutions.
