Matt Thomas

Matt set up Adapto in 2005 after nine years’ working for ISG Technology where he was the consultancy services manager. He decided to launch Adapto to plug the gap he found between IT management and delivery companies and wanted to bring leading-edge solutions to real world problems.

Matt has gained extensive experience managing multi-streamed projects both internally and within outsourced environments and is an expert in infrastructure design. He has provided expertise to more than 100 different companies during his career. With Matt, customers know they are working with someone who has excellent technical knowledge but is also a superb project manager with expertise in ISO 9001:2000 and Prince 2 frameworks.

Customers rely on Matt’s up-to-the minute knowledge of the latest technology which helps them to keep ahead of the competition. They also benefit from his advanced knowledge and skills in change management, quality assurance, performance management, problem solving, systems design and implementation, active directory design, knowledge management as well as ITT development and response.

Recent projects that have benefited from Matt’s skills include a mobile working solution for Croydon Council, infrastructure and desktop virtualisation for Mole Valley District Council and a storage infrastructure project for ISG technology and MCPS-PRS Alliance.

Matt gained a BSc Hons in computer science from the University of Exeter and went on to study for an MBA from Imperial College London. He enjoys golf, tennis and exploring new technology as well as travelling in his spare time.

Ivan Greenaway

Ivan joined Matt Thomas to become a partner and director of Adapto in February 2007 with the ambition to grow the company and offer its services to new business sectors.

They met while both working at IT network and infrastructure services specialist ISG where Ivan was a senior sales executive.

Originally from Montserrat in the West Indies, Ivan started his career in the Army. After joining at 17 he trained in Aldershot and then worked in Germany, followed by five tours of Northern Ireland. At just 25 Ivan was promoted to sergeant, before becoming one of the youngest warrant officers in the Logistics Corps at age 32. He also excelled at sports and was the Regimental Novice Boxing Champion, as well as playing rugby to a high standard.

After 20 successful years in the Army, Ivan left to start a new career and studied for a Diploma in Sales and Marketing. He soon found that many of the skills he learned in the Army, such as discipline, good communication and relationship building, were equally important in sales and marketing.

Customers appreciate Ivan’s problem-solving abilities and the knowledge and expertise he has to bring partner organisations together to deliver solutions. He is always optimistic, tenacious and determined to provide the best possible service. He recently used these skills to deliver a mobile data system solution to Kent Fire and Rescue Service. Ivan brought the expertise of Adapto, Wireless Logic and ISG together, as well as sourcing component housing units and arranging installation in fire engines, which enabled fire fighters to communicate using GPRS for the first time.

Ivan is married with three sons and a granddaughter, plus a black Labrador called Carlos.
